A blog about life, food, travels, and my journey as a photographer.

Seattle

It's been a good summer. With the cooler autumn air finally making its appearance, I wanted to share one of the highlights of our summer - Seattle! Seattle in the summer is probably one of my favorite places in the world. The weather is sunny, but not too dry. And also not too hot nor too cold. The city has some quaint areas, good food, and a generous amount of nerdiness (Card Kingdom was one of our favorite discoveries). Surrounding the city are tall mountains, forests, bodies of water, making amazing scenery just a short distance away.

We spent a couple of days camping along Snoqualmie Pass, and a day hiking Mount Rainier. The weather was particularly hot this year, so the wildflowers had faded by mid-August when we were there and Mount Rainier's peak was shrouded by a layer of haze from the nearby forest fires. But still a beautiful hike nonetheless.
